Steam Dreams Bot Cover Art for Dronstad Blog
I wanted to thank Dronstad for allowing me to draw on his blog. I will do this by featuring his story Steam Dreams Bot and my cover image on my projects page. Also, I will show the finished pieces in this project in large format. I won’t go into a tutorial mode or how to style because I want to keep those in my blog area. Steam Dreams Bot
A book called Mechanika inspired the artwork. In contrast, Doug Chiang, the author of the book created his piece using traditional methods, while I went with digital. His idea’s stemmed from images of spiders and tractors. I used an app called SketchBook Pro and a Dell Venue 11 Pro with a pen.
A huge factory floor hissed, puffed and clanked from all of the metallic hands that built rockets. A song traveled in the polluted air, a song of busy steam engines, analog computers and coal-burning in the furnace.
